Evaggelia Drougia (R). Evi (L) and Konstantina (C) Tassiou washing carpets in "nerotrivi", the village water whirl for washing clothes and carpets. The water used in nerotrivi flows from the mountains and after entering the whirlpool it ends in Aoos river that goes through the village. No soap is allowed to be used when washing so that the river remains clean. The water flow is enough to clean the carpets and that is why this old way of washing is still used by the local people today.
