PALESTINIAN WOMEN IN THE AL AQSA INTIFADA

Feryal is left alone to take care of her 6 children after her husband Ahmed was shot dead by Israeli solders. He had a shop near the main Rafah clash point, near the border with Egypt that is controlled by the Israelis. On the 17th of December 2000, someone was shot and he went to help him exposing himself to the Israeli bullets. Now he has become a martyr of the Intifada and a mural of his face watches his children play from his house wall.
